1/28/2022 - Parking ban in effect 1/28-1/30
Good Afternoon Residents of the Great City of Ansonia,
This is Mayor Dave Cassetti with an update regarding the impending Winter Storm that will affect our City over the next two days. My Team and I have just conducted a virtual meeting of our Emergency Operations Center staff and I would like to make you aware of some changes in the City during the storm.

There will be a parking ban on all City streets that will begin at 6pm tonight Friday January 28, 2022 until 6pm on Sunday January 30, 2022. I am asking all residents to move their vehicles from all streets to allow Public Works to clear the roadways.
The following lots will be available for off street parking:
• Nolan Field
• West Main, Main and East Main Municipal Lots
• Former Ansonia Police Dept at 2 Elm St
• All City Parks
• All Public-School lots including Ansonia High School, Ansonia Middle School, Mead and Prendergast Schools

Vehicles parked in these lots for the Storm may remain there until 6pm on Sunday January 30th.

Vehicles that are found to be parked in violation of the parking ban will be towed as they are restricting Public Works ability to clear the roadway.

Our Public Works Dept is fully staffed and will begin pretreatment of the roads before the storm begins. Crews will be working nonstop during the storm.

Our Police, Fire, ARMS and Public Works Departments will be staffed and ready to respond. Please, if you are able, keep your nearest fire hydrant to your home or business clear of snow
Please stay safe during this storm. Shoveling snow or using a snowblower are among winter's most grueling activities. Please keep an eye on your family, friends and neighbors during the storm to make sure they are also safe.

Updates will be sent out as necessary and may God Bless You All.
