“ I want to reassure our residents that Chief Cota and the Ansonia Police Department are doing everything they can to investigate and bring a quick conclusion to the recent shootings that occurred in the early hours of
Saturday morning
.
“The shootings occurred at
32 Main Street
and
27 Lester Street
. Chief Cota and the Ansonia PD believe these were isolated incidents. Please know that we are all continuing to work together to do everything we can to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.” Said Mayor Cassetti. “Also, I will be meeting with our PD and building officials to close
232 Main Street
until further notice.” Said Mayor Cassetti. Ansonia Police Department will provide updates as they become available.
